Senior Embedded Automation Quality Assurance Engineer

The Opportunity:

Mersive Technologies, based in the USA but expanding in Poznań, is the pioneer of a unique wireless presentation and collaboration platform.

We are on the lookout for a lead tester who will be in charge of establishing QA procedures at the beginning phases of product development to join our expanding team in Poznań.

We are currently working on the next iteration of the Mersive Solstice device, a central hub that facilitates content sharing and the integration of diverse communication tools.

This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy expressing their viewpoints and making a tangible impact on product development.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the embedded testing process for the advancement of our hardware devices, and outlining test strategies.
  • Devising test blueprints and carrying out test scenarios.
  • Ensuring the security of embedded systems by recognizing potential weaknesses and deploying suitable countermeasures.
  • Setting up and maintaining testing environments, employing DevOps competencies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Building automated test frameworks from the ground up, predominantly leveraging Python.
  • Working closely with multifunctional teams consisting of software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers to ascertain testing requisites and guarantee all-encompassing test coverage.
  • Performing manual testing when necessary.

Requirements and Skill Set:

  • Demonstrated expertise in embedded testing, preferably in a senior or tech leadership capacity.
  • In-depth understanding of Linux embedded systems and hands-on involvement in testing embedded hardware.
  • Proficient programming capabilities in Python, with the proficiency to build automated test frameworks from the ground up.
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools for configuration management and environment setup.
  • Familiarity with security concepts related to cryptography.
  • Outstanding issue-solving abilities and the capacity to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English (minimum B2) communication skills.
