The Role

The Margin Assurance Analyst II in our Margin Assurance team plays a key role in conducting advanced audits on customers and vendors to uncover revenue recovery and cost-saving opportunities. Responsibilities include researching services, analyzing business drivers, and collaborating with various teams to address issues. The Analyst also conducts audits, generates reports, and performs intricate data analysis.

This position focuses on proactively identifying and resolving margin leakage, as well as reducing unnecessary expenses. Duties involve evaluating business processes for enhancements, implementing controls to mitigate risks, and aligning ASR, expenses, and revenue with accounting procedures. The Analyst will handle operational tasks such as data acquisition, manipulation, and reporting, along with monitoring metrics, analyzing trends, identifying root causes, resolving errors, managing dashboards, and presenting findings to stakeholders. Strong collaboration with global operational teams like Finance, Product & Revenue Management, Sales & Customer Success, and IT is essential for success.

The Margin Assurance Analyst II should be self-motivated, take accountability for outcomes, and excel in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze billing records to identify circuits needing correlation, rematching, or disconnection to eliminate unnecessary costs.
  • Ensure financial accuracy by reconciling revenue with expense records, addressing discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Audit and manage workflow processes related to offnet vendor charges across the circuit life cycle.
  • Discover process enhancements and automation opportunities to drive efficiency throughout the business.
  • Assist in ad hoc requests, reports, projects, and operational reviews.
  • Create comprehensive reports showcasing results, trends, risks, and opportunities to support informed decision-making.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Ability to build strong business relationships internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in data management, manipulation, with knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting/Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across different organizational functions.
