What is the project about?

Our client, a well-known bank, is undergoing a crucial Flexcube upgrade project as part of their Core Banking Transformation program. This initiative comprises four major streams, each interdependent:

  • Flexcube Transformation
  • Non-production platform delivery
  • Pan-Baltic integration platform
  • Infrastructure and Network strategy implementation (Data Center move)
  • The Flexcube Transformation project includes:
  • Clearing business requirements and defining use case criteria, ensuring approval from business stakeholders.
  • Upgrading Flexcube from version 8 to 13.
  • Integrating Flexcube with over 40 satellite systems and a data warehouse, potentially intersecting with middleware.
  • Ensuring smooth business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing (DWH) reporting.
  • This particular role focuses on the BI/DWH stream within the Flexcube transformation project, ensuring seamless business and regulatory reporting amidst the source system change.

What will you do with us?

The Project Manager will oversee the BI/DWH stream of the Flexcube transformation project. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the entire project lifecycle for the BI/DWH stream.
  • Coordinating with various stakeholders to define and document product and process requirements.
  • Formulating and executing a migration strategy and ensuring business and operational readiness.
  • Conducting end-user training and ensuring comprehensive test case documentation.
  • Handling the integration and configuration of Flexcube with existing systems to maintain reporting accuracy and compliance.
  • Managing dependencies across the four major streams and ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Identifying and managing risks, and escalating issues as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the BI/DWH stream of the Flexcube transformation project.
  • Ensure seamless business and regulatory reporting during system transition.
  • Collaborate with business and operations teams to document processes and define product requirements.
  • Develop and implement migration strategies and end-user training programs.
  • Ensure readiness of business and operations for system changes.
  • Facilitate integration and configuration tasks to align Flexcube with other systems.
  • Effectively manage project dependencies and risks.
  • Proactively escalate issues and risks for timely resolution.

What do we expect from you?

  • Strong educational and practical experience in IT, with over 10 years in the industry, ideally with hands-on involvement in software development, data warehousing, and system integration.
  • Project Management Experience: Over 5 years of project management experience, with significant participation in at least one Core Banking system transformation and/or BI/DWH transformation.
  • Reporting Processes: A solid grasp of business and regulatory reporting processes is highly advantageous.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Dependencies and Risk Management: Proficiency in managing project dependencies and risks, with a proactive escalation approach.
  • Availability: The ideal candidate should be able to occasionally work on-site in Vilnius, Lithuania.
  • This role plays a pivotal part in a major transformation project for a bank, providing an opportunity to contribute to significant changes within the banking sector.
