The objective of Operational Resilience is to protect our people, customers, and brand by sustaining critical customer services at acceptable levels while responding to expected and unexpected disruptions and adapting to changes in our operating environment. This position is associated with the discipline of Business Continuity Management (BCM), which enables AXA XL to build and maintain appropriate levels of resilience and readiness within our core business functions and their critical services, ensuring regulatory and AXA Group compliance.
This role involves managing various activities related to the execution of Business Continuity Management planning aspects. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and governing risk assessments, business impact analyses, business continuity plans, third parties, and various exercising activities. In this second line of defense role, the position supports the business and transversal functions locally, regionally, and/or globally.
The Specialist is also responsible for managing the Operational Resilience toolset, data repositories, dashboards/reports, and supporting the execution of repeatable processes contributing to the program's success. Additionally, ensuring the development and testing of all strategies included in Business Continuity plans and building strong relationships with other functions within Security, Procurement, and the Third-Party Risk Management team.
Experts in this position have the capability, experience, and skills to take on challenging assignments that require a structured approach and effective management of involved senior stakeholders. Specialists can execute assigned responsibilities independently and take ownership of their program components according to the annual strategic plan.
DISCOVER Your Opportunity- A substantial part of the responsibilities includes the management and execution of the annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) refresh cycle across 75+ business functions.
- Ensure dependencies with other internal functions, ICT assets, applications, and vendors are fully reviewed and tested during the yearly BIA Campaign.
- Manage the development, implementation, and administration of Operational Resilience methodologies and tools.
- Develop and maintain aligned BCPs and execute targeted BCP exercises as component tests.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Operational Resilience methodologies and tools.
You will collaborate closely with Operational Resilience team members from multiple regions. This function reports to the BCM Senior Lead, Operational Resilience, based in France.
SHARE Your Talent- University Graduate/Post Graduate with experience in Insurance, Reinsurance, Financial, or Professional Services Industry.
- Good understanding of the Re/Insurance industry and key business processes.
- Advanced Operational Resilience/Business Continuity Management or related experience.
- Professional BCM certification preferred.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with a proven track record of interacting with senior management.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Delivery and solution-oriented personality with skills in developing professional reports and visualized presentation material.
- Ability to travel up to 15% to domestic and international locations, flexibility to respond to disasters or business interruption events.
