Are you passionate about sales and product development? The role of Sales Manager at Enza Zaden is a dynamic position at the intersection of sales, leadership, and entrepreneurship. We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to take on the commercial responsibility for all open field crop segments within Poland. As a Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in the development and sales of various crops, taking responsibility for the positioning of new varieties. Naturally, you will stay informed about the latest market and product developments.

Working with a team of sales representatives/ product developers, you will maintain close contact with customers to promote and sell varieties because your team represents the face of Enza Zaden in Poland Your work area is diverse, you are situated in the fields and at the office. You will have regular contact with internal colleagues, such as sales representatives/ product developers, product managers, marketing managers, and breeding teams. Collaboration with other sales managers and being a member of the Management Team is also part of your role.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing sales activities that contribute to company objectives.

Budgeting, forecasting, and pricing policies within the market area.

Customer management, including development, supervision, and implementation, in close collaboration with product and marketing managers.

Developing, coaching, and guiding a team of sales representatives/ product developers.

Implementing price strategies for specific markets.

Collecting market- and customer data for the development of market and marketing plans.

Your Team

You play a crucial role in the Marketing & Sales team in Poland by supporting the sales representatives/ product developers in their visit of (potential) customers. You maintain various internal and external contacts, including growers, advisors, and plant nurseries. Internal contacts include international sales representatives and the breeding team. Customer meetings and discussions can take place throughout Poland, so you are frequently on the move.

Your Strengths

You are entrepreneurial, energetic, initiative-driven, and possess a service- and results-oriented mindset. Next to that you have strong people management skills. By actively listening to the sales team, you translate ideas into commercial and creative actions to further assist existing customers and open new doors

With a background in the agricultural or horticulture sector, you excel at planning and organizing. Your knowledge and experience mean that you are well-informed about market trends, allowing you to respond adeptly and creatively.

In short, you:

Have several years of experience in a leadership role in a commercial organization, preferably in vegetable seeds, open field crops, flowers, or plants.

Are a strong people manager and leader.

Can establish connections within the organization and speak the language of growers and the supply chain.

Possess strong analytical skills.

Are an independent individual who handles responsibility well and takes the initiative to drive business.

Can communicate in English on business level.
