At Charles River Investment Management System (CR IMS), over 30 trillion dollars in assets are overseen by a team of 38,000+ professionals across 30+ countries. This platform offers robust functions for Portfolio Managers and institutional Traders, catering to both Institutional and Wealth Management clients. The Wealth Management platform at Charles River presents a promising growth opportunity, and the team plays a vital role in supporting this solution.
This exciting position involves designing and implementing intricate wealth and investment management workflows for key players in the industry. As a full stack developer, you will tackle projects focusing on rich functionality, web services, system scalability, and performance enhancements in a collaborative work environment.
The company is currently transitioning its architecture to a cloud-based solution, involving technologies like Azure, React, Kubernetes, Kafka, and micro-services. The Wealth Optimization team is developing a product for wealth managers to construct, manage, and trade portfolios efficiently, meeting various investment objectives and constraints.

We seek individuals enthusiastic about crafting high-quality software in the FinTech sector. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, a background in algorithms & data structures, and proficiency in SQL, Java, and/or C#.
What will you do:
As a full stack engineer, you will work on diverse problems related to wealth optimization software. Your responsibilities will range from implementing new features and enhancing system scalability to integrating with third-party APIs, fixing bugs, and developing batch processes.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to tasks of focused complexity, including software development, testing, and implementation
- Write unit and automation tests to maintain product quality

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
- 0-2 years of professional or internship experience
- Knowledge of programming, data structures, and modern software engineering
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team
Skills:
Must have:
- Proficiency in C# and/or Java
- Experience with SQL and testing frameworks like N and/or JUnit
Highly preferred:
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Solid understanding of data structures & algorithms and object-oriented design
Good to have:
- Knowledge of SQL Server and DevExpress Winforms
- Experience with Azure and related tools
- Performance and automation testing expertise
- Background in FinTech and tools like IntelliJ and Git
- Familiarity with various scripts and software like Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Gradle, and more
