Summary:

Join a dynamic team at Charles River as a key technical contributor, enhancing and maintaining various modules. Be part of an agile scrum team, providing engineering troubleshooting support to customer service and other development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive technical excellence independently, analyzing, designing, and testing complex software enhancements within Charles River's business domains
  • Collaborate with Analysts and Managers to develop sustainable software solutions for challenging problems
  • Provide expertise in product architecture design within the team's responsibility
  • Solve advanced technical issues, contributing to project success
  • Develop software using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, and explore new technologies
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring quality through unit and automation tests
  • Improve development methodologies and test frameworks
  • Perform manual tests and provide troubleshooting support for client implementations
  • Engage in agile software development processes and cross-team coordination
  • Advise on technical strategy and mentor junior staff

Qualifications:

Education:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields. MS degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional software engineering experience
  • 6+ years in financial services developing solutions for various sectors
  • Strong knowledge of programming, databases, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
