Expert SQL/ETL Developer at Nordea

We are currently seeking an Expert SQL/ETL Developer to help us deliver top-notch IT solutions and embrace agile methodologies.

Welcome to the ALM, Liquidity & Funding Development team at Nordea, where we focus on data, large scale processing, and implementing commercial solutions for ALM and Liquidity Management. As the Expert Developer, you will play a pivotal role in key projects and work in an international and inspiring environment.

About This Opportunity

In this role, you will:

  • Design and develop data-intensive applications
  • Implement a commercial balance sheet management solution using MS SQL suite
  • Support the development team with MSSQL and ETL tasks
  • Assist in Apache Kafka (Java) development and maintenance
  • Contribute to improving the CI/CD pipeline
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance solutions and processes
  • Participate in architectural discussions
  • Identify areas for enhancement and refactoring

This position offers collaboration with the Product Owner and business representatives, based in Poland with team members across Poland and the Nordics.

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Advanced ETL knowledge and techniques
  • Practical experience with MS SQL (T-SQL) databases & PowerShell
  • Data Integration expertise
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach
  • Experience in data solutions design and development
  • Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
  • Hands-on experience with data-intensive applications
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts
  • Fearless attitude towards tackling challenges
Educational Qualifications/Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with MS SQL (T-SQL) and PowerShell
  • Experience with Apache Kafka is a plus
  • Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language
  • Familiarity with Clean Code principles and design patterns
  • Exposure to tools such as Bamboo, GIT, Jira, Jenkins
  • Understanding of Apache AirFlow is beneficial
