The Opportunity

This position is located in Warsaw, Poland, within the EMEA Talent Acquisition Division of Abbott.

Abbott's Talent Acquisition team is a global organization that handles global hiring, executive recruitment, Early Careers, employer branding, and diversity and inclusion strategies. The team aims to deliver a quick and top-notch service to internal clients while ensuring an outstanding candidate experience.

As the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, your role involves ensuring a smooth experience for Hiring Managers and Candidates across various business Divisions like Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Nutrition, and Commercial functions such as Sales.

You will oversee the end-to-end recruiting process for both individual contributors and managerial positions throughout the EMEA region, working closely with TA colleagues in multiple countries.

Tasks include defining requirements, managing the selection process, negotiating offers, and using the Abbott Talent management system "Workday" and CRM tool "Phenom".

What You'll Do

  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's business objectives and strategy.
  • Consult with hiring managers and Business HR to grasp skill requirements for each opening.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create a comprehensive recruitment strategy tailored to each position.
  • Implement effective sourcing practices to attract suitable candidates, while leveraging internal Abbott resources.
  • Source, screen, and manage candidates throughout the recruitment process, offering feedback at all stages.
  • Ensure a structured interview process is followed for each requirement, including running assessment centers if needed.
  • Handle salary negotiations and manage the offer process in line with company procedures.
  • Establish strong relationships with recruitment agencies, managing PSL to control costs.
  • Maintain the ATS (Workday) and provide necessary reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Must have fluent English skills, with a 2nd language like German, French, or Dutch being beneficial.
  • Minimum of 4 years of full-cycle recruitment experience in healthcare or related industries.
  • Experience supporting business hiring needs up to senior manager level.
  • Strong assessment skills to evaluate candidates' abilities and behaviors.
  • Ownership of the TA process to ensure client and candidate satisfaction.
  • Professional, accountable, energetic, and collaborative team player.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Driven, with a solid work ethic and a desire to learn and succeed.
  • Ability to build relationships at all business levels, including with Senior Executives.
