Senior Data Analyst 2

Our Innovation, Data & Analytics team (IDA) is driving innovation through leveraging data to drive strategy and create a new business model – disrupting the insurance market. Our Data Quality team supports our Enterprise Stewardship Network Data Owners and Stewards by providing Data quality levels monitoring, reporting, and improvement of Critical Data Elements. As we develop our enterprise-wide data strategy, the Senior Data Analyst 2 will implement a Data Quality across systems and data elements to support implementation of Data Quality strategy for AXA XL to become a data driven organization.

The Senior Data Analyst 2 must demonstrate strong analytical skills, problem solving and communication skills to perform data analysis on operational data from external and internal sources, interpreting the data, doing root cause analysis and reporting to respective stakeholders.

The role requires working across the organization to document business requirements, analysis the data to help define proper business requirements, build data quality rules, visualize results, and support business to improve data quality. The individual will become the local point of contact for developing and implementing data quality rules for given business domains.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Lead Data Quality analysis assessments on the Big Data environment
• Collaborate with stakeholders to mobilize Data Quality project requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis, investigating any data errors or anomalies and implement solutions to correct data problems
• Develop metrics and reports supporting data quality initiatives
• Develop complex SQL scripts to retrieve data from strategic systems
• Manage VMs based on Linux (Red Hat) and Windows (Server) solutions
• Manage repositories based on GitHub
• Participate in Scrum teams and work in agile methodology on an ambitious strategic project
• Collaborate with other teams (inside and outside function) to improve Data Quality (CI initiatives) within the organization
• Plays an important role coordinating and delivering activities, programs, projects, and services, relying on judgment gained from seasoned experience
• May work in multiple extreme teams, internal projects applying technical depth and breadth of knowledge
• Consistently demonstrates initiative and is relied on to be proactive in identifying and communicating needs
• Improve the existing process through suggesting continuous improvement ideas and implementing them successfully

This individual will report to Data Quality Lead and support the Division Leads and Global Leads –Data Management, Data Quality & Culture.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

• Graduated/Post graduated in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Insurance domain preferably
• Experience in Data Quality, Data Management or Data Transformation,
• Advance in SQL with the good understanding of database structures is a must (read,write,procedures)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, access etc.)
• Linux/Windows server administration practical experience will be an advantage
• GitHub practical experience will be an advantage
• Knowledge/experience of working on various insurance source systems like FRAME, WINS, GENIUS, Salesforce, Concept 1, Subscribe etc. will be an advantage
• Knowledgeable for Power Bi, Power Apps environment with practical experience will be an advantage
• Practical VBA experience will be an advantage
• Practical experience with Data Quality Tools (Collibra or Informatica) will be an advantage
• Excellent Communication skills (fluency in English)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work with team globally located and cross-functionally to achieve the goal
• Detail Oriented, ability to analyze and identify discrepancies.
• Must be an independent learner and quickly understands the processes
• Hands on experience of working in projects managed with Agile methodology
