This is what LifeAtBNYMellon is all about.We are looking for a new team member for the position of Vice President, SOX Technology Auditor located in Wroclaw, Poland - Hybrid with our Corporate Finance team.In this role, you'll have an impact in the following ways:
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of IT general controls and application controls with a deep understanding of SOX.
- Ensure IT general controls and application controls for financial reporting are effective to comply with SOX.
- Contribute to the execution of the SOX IT plan by assessing key IT controls in information systems for testing, documentation, and reporting to Senior Management.
- Manage multiple tasks with various time-sensitive deadlines, completing the test of design and test of operating effectiveness over internal controls with minimal supervision.
- Assist senior colleagues in monitoring control deficiencies, reviewing remediation by process owners, and documenting findings for SOX management.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to enhance testing efficiency and issue reporting communications.
- Play an active role in achieving the IT SOX team's objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of years in IT risk/controls, Internal IT Audit, Public Accounting IT audit, or a mix of these.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or equivalent IT certification preferable but not mandatory.
- Experience with GRC software (AuditBoard) or data analytic tools (PowerBI, Alteryx) preferred.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is beneficial.
