Overview

As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will be responsible for performing cycle audits, managing incoming/outgoing deliveries, and documenting inbound and outbound deliveries. This role presents an opportunity to enhance your expertise in inventory management principles, warranty process management, and data bearing device destruction, while advancing in your career.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma AND 1+ year(s) experience in warehouse/supply chain within an IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or related field. OR equivalent experience.

Background Check Requirements:

Role requires meeting Microsoft, customer, and government security screening standards. This includes specialized security screenings like Microsoft Cloud Background Check, mandatory upon hire/transfer and biennially.

While not mandatory, Preferred Qualifications include:

  • 2+ years experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, IT, or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment for a large corporation OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage process knowledge and discernment to perform tasks independently.
  • Focus on understanding the implications of work on fulfilling tickets and assigned Inventory and Asset Management tasks.
  • Maintain accurate information in inventory management systems, ensuring precise inventory tracking and staging.
  • Participate in reconciling and reporting inventory discrepancies.
  • Execute data bearing devices destruction in compliance with SLAs and Microsoft policies.
  • Notify management of stock shortages and escalate issues as needed.
  • Adhere to security and data management protocols.
