Senior Electrical Designer

Place of Work: Warsaw Office (hybrid system - 2 days home office / 3 days Warsaw Office after 3-month onboarding period).

Type of contract: contract of employment (B2B contract not available)

Position Overview:

The Senior Electrical Designer's role involves designing raceways, locating equipment, updating schedules, and working on conduit and raceway design. They are responsible for creating detailed drawings and documentation aligned with project requirements, conducting cable pull calculations, designing lighting setups, grounding layouts, and lightning protection systems. The position also entails developing equipment and material specifications when standard documentation needs adjustments.

Main Job Duties:

  • Conduct electrical physical design (including circuits and raceways).
  • Design raceways, equipment layout, schedule updates, and conduit and aboveground raceways.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Group Supervisor and Lead Designer.
  • Produce drawings and documentation following design guidelines, including lighting, communications, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in 2D and 3D CADD.
  • Work with SETROUTE program for electronic Cable Management System and database corrections.
  • Ensure electrical systems designs comply with installation codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with Construction and Subcontractors as needed.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate within team and across disciplines.

Qualifications and Requirements

Basic Qualifications: Level 1: AA/AS degree with 8 years of relevant electrical design experience;

  • Level 2: AA/AS degree with 11 years of relevant electrical design experience;
  • Proficiency with Revit design tools (preferred).
  • Experience with SmartPlant 3D design tools (preferred).
  • Familiarity with quality assurance programs such as ASME-NQA-1, MIL-Q-9858A, or ISO-9000 (preferred).
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of Polish and European electrical codes and standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical raceway and equipment layouts.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD 2D/3D, cable design, and routing software.
