About this exciting role

Join the Adapters team at Nordea, where you'll collaborate closely with traders and salespeople to create efficient solutions enabling trade data utilization for reporting and BI purposes. As a Senior Java Developer, you'll play a vital role in developing applications and adapters for Front Office trading applications like Bloomberg, Front Arena, Murex, and Wallstreet.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Integrating with Front Office trading systems, handling data via Kafka and message queues, building REST APIs, creating front-end applications, and contributing to significant software projects
  • Collaborating with business users to enhance high-performing adapters feeding trade data to core data hubs
  • Writing well-structured code, assisting team members, and enhancing the existing code base
  • Engaging in new software projects and improving current code structures
  • Getting hands-on experience in the Equities, Fixed Income, and FX business domains
  • Being an active member of the scrum team and Front Office adapter team

Your skills and background:

  • Technical expertise: Java 5+ experience, familiarity with functional programming principles, Spring Boot, Kafka, IBM MQ, JDBC, Oracle SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Bamboo, Jenkins
  • Personal qualities: Analytical thinking, effective communication, structured problem-solving, adaptability to changing priorities
