Our platform supports critical automation and workload orchestration services, including Control-M and IBM Sterling File Gateway, deployed on on-premises infrastructure across global HSBC regions.This role requires deep technical expertise in Oracle databases, along with a strong understanding of distributed platform architecture, Linux-based deployments, and the operational needs of enterprise-scale services. You will provide horizontal support across services, acting as a senior technical partner to development and DevOps teams, and owning infrastructure matters beyond the scope of routine Unix/DB administration.This position includes occasional weekend work and potential on-call availability aligned to global service requirements.What you’ll doProvide infrastructure engineering expertise across on-premises platforms supporting automation and workload orchestration services.Act as the SME for Oracle DB performance, configuration, resilience, and fault diagnosis.Lead infrastructure design reviews and advise on architecture improvements and scalability.Collaborate with DevOps support teams to troubleshoot complex OS/DB/application interactions.Support environment planning, capacity allocation, and infrastructure lifecycle management.Contribute to the automation of recurring infrastructure tasks using scripting and configuration tools.Partner with global engineering and vendor teams to ensure deployment standards are met.Participate in production support rotations, including scheduled weekend work and on-call duties.What you need to have to succeed in this roleExtensive experience in Oracle database administration and performance tuning in enterprise environments.Strong knowledge of Linux-based infrastructure and distributed system design.Experience supporting services related to workload orchestration or managed file transfer (e.g. Control-M, SFG).Familiarity with infrastructure automation and scripting tools (e.g. Shell, Python, Ansible).Ability to work independently and solve complex, cross-platform issues involving multiple layers.Solid understanding of platform security, patching, and operational resilience best practices.Excellent collaboration skills across global infrastructure and application teams.Willingness to support occasional weekend deployments and take part in on-call rotations.What we offerCompetitive salaryAnnual performance-based bonusAdditional bonuses for recognition awardsMultisport cardPrivate medical careLife insuranceOne-time reimbursement of home office set-up (up to 800 PLN).Corporate parties & eventsCSR initiativesNursery discountsFinancial support with trainings and educationSocial fundFlexible working hoursFree parkingHybrid working with on-site collaboration as a key element of team cultureIf your CV meets our criteria, you should expect the following steps in the recruitment process:Online behavioural testTelephone screenJob interview with the hiring managerWe are looking to hire as soon as possible so don’t wait and apply nowYou'll achieve more when you join HSBC.
