Senior Product Designer UX/UI

Why this role existsAt GOG, we create products for millions of gamers worldwide who are passionate about game preservation and building lasting collections. Our biggest challenge right now is creating a cohesive, modern experience that reflects our unique mission while meeting contemporary gaming UX standards.Our current Store and GOG Galaxy launcher feel disconnected and outdated - they don't leverage modern UX patterns that today's gamers expect, nor do they properly communicate our distinctive value as the home of game preservation. We need to bridge this gap with a unified design system that's both cutting-edge and authentically GOG.We're looking for a designer who will go beyond producing great UI - someone who will solve meaningful problems, establish our design foundation, and deliver measurable impact that transforms casual visitors into passionate collectors.What success looks like in the first 6-12 monthsDeliver a comprehensive design system that unifies Store and Galaxy experiences, reducing design-to-development time while ensuring visual consistency across all touchpointsImprove key experience metrics - increase user engagement with preservation features and reduce friction in collection-building flowsLaunch modernized core experiences that better communicate GOG's preservation mission and collector value propositionResponsibilities:What you'll be doing day-to-dayDesign system architecture: Build and maintain a scalable component library that captures GOG's brand DNA while enabling rapid, consistent feature developmentExperience transformation: Redesign critical user journeys (discovery, purchase, collection management) to better serve our collector communityCross-platform cohesion: Ensure seamless experience continuity between Store and Galaxy that reinforces our preservation missionResearch-driven design: Conduct user testing and leverage analytics to validate design decisions and measure impact on collector engagementStrategic collaboration: Partner closely with Product and Engineering to translate business goals into compelling user experiencesRequirements:What will help you succeedDesign System Expertise:Strong proficiency in Figma with advanced component creation (Variants, Boolean, Instance Swap). Mastery of Auto Layout and systematic design thinking.Proven experience building and scaling design systems across multiple platformsModern UX Craft:Prototyping and animation skills for testing and communicating complex interactionsAI prototyping proficiency (Lovable, Figma Make, etc.) for rapid iterationNice to have:Understanding of gaming UX patterns and contemporary interface trendsStrategic Design Thinking:7+ years designing digital products, preferably in gaming, ecommerce, or entertainmentPortfolio demonstrating how design work solved business problems and improved key metricsExperience with iterative design processes including user testing and data-driven optimizationAbility to create visually compelling interfaces that align with brand valuesCollaboration & Impact:Proven track record working cross-functionally from concept to launchExcellent storytelling and presentation skills for stakeholder communicationExperience influencing product strategy through design insightsBonus: Front-end knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for better developer collaborationHow we work We're a team that moves fast, experiments often, and learns by doing.
