About the project

We are looking for a ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) Consultant responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the SAM Pro module within the ServiceNow platform. The role ensures accurate discovery, licensing, tracking, and optimization of software assets across the enterprise, supporting compliance, cost efficiency, and governance maturity. The consultant will collaborate closely with the Software Asset Management team and key stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

• Configure and deploy the ServiceNow SAM Pro module to manage software assets across on-premise, cloud, and SaaS environments
• Integrate SAM Pro with other ServiceNow modules (ITSM, CMDB, HAM, Discovery) and external systems (SCCM, Intune, Azure)
• Build and maintain Effective License Positions (ELPs) for key publishers such as Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, and IBM
• Develop and automate reclamation and optimization workflows to reduce unused software spend
• Design and document SAM processes aligned with ISO/IEC 19770 and ITIL best practices
• Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure software purchasing aligns with SAM policies
• Develop dashboards and reports for compliance, optimization opportunities, and financial impact
• Conduct stakeholder workshops and deliver training to SAM and IT teams

Our requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in IT Asset Management / Software Asset Management, with at least 2 years focused on ServiceNow SAM Pro
• Hands-on configuration experience with the ServiceNow SAM Pro module (normalization, reconciliation, publisher packs, reclamation)
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, CMDB, Discovery, ITSM, and integration points
• Knowledge of software licensing models for major vendors (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, VMware, SAP)
• Experience integrating SAM Pro with external discovery tools (SCCM, Intune, JAMF, AWS/Azure inventory)
• Residing in Poland required

Optional

• Familiarity with SaaS management and cloud cost optimization (FinOps) concepts
