Ryvu Therapeutics is a clinical-stage drug discovery and development company focused on novel small molecule therapies that address emerging targets in oncology.

We are looking for team-oriented, highly experienced scientist in the field of hematooncology to strengthen our Translation Research teams within Translational Medicine. The purpose of the position is to identify and solve complex research problems on regular basis, significantly contribute to the future directions of the assigned projects and provide company with solid scientific expertise, judgement and practical skills to work for the benefit and development of the projects as well as the research personnel. The role is exposed to laboratory and conceptual work and due to full responsibility for the task assigned it requires full independence. It gives a unique opportunity to work on the clinical stage projects.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading biological research in the hematooncology field, aiming at successful accomplishment of assigned tasks in terms of results, timelines, costs and quality.
  • Designing research strategy within the project, critical analysis and interpretation of biological results.
  • Proactively seeking out new information in the literature and incorporate this into individual projects as well as the overall program
  • Identifying and proposing new research initiative and methods/technologies
  • Mentoring team members
  • Collaborating with scientists of different specializations in order to achieve strategic goals
  • Presenting research results at internal meetings with immediate supervisor and project leader, project team meetings and also at the scientific conferences and business meetings


YOUR BACKGROUND

  • PhD with preferably 2+ years of experience in academia or industry or MSc degree with at least 4 years of relevant post-educational experience
  • Previous experience in the field of hematooncology is strongly preferred
  • Technical expertise with primary cell culture, standard molecular biology techniques, flow cytometry.
  • Knowledge of genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic data generation and interpretation would be an advantage
  • Practical experience with analysis software such as FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, Excel is strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data and to supervise less experienced scientists
  • Experience in independent work on projects (or a dedicated part of more complex projects)
  • Experience in leading scientific collaborations
  • Analytical thinking approach, literature search skills, ability to work independently on a certain topic
  • Strong motivation to learn and adopt new experimental techniques
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
