As we are expanding our team into new fields, we are looking for candidates for more than one position. Below you can find only examples of tasks for different departments.

Central Reserving Life and Health Department:

– executing actuarial projection processes for IFRS 17 and Solvency II in Prophet for selected Life and Health insurance companies of ERGO Group AG

– preparing actuarial models

– quality assuring, result analyzing and its interpretating

– implementing and testing actuarial models and model changes/ enhancements for

Life and Health insurance

– actively shaping the future of actuarial models for ERGO's Life and Health entities

– supporting the central team and local entities during the quarterly closing and forecast processes

– processing analysis and optimization as well as automation of existing Solvency II and IFRS 17 processes and tools

Central Reserving P&C Department:

– developing and maintaining actuarial reserving and analysis tools

– analyzing data and results to ensure the quality of our financial statements

– supporting the central team during the quarterly closing and forecast processes

monitoring and reporting on reserving KPIs to senior actuaries and other stakeholders

– participating in constant knowledge transfer, understanding dependencies to derive appropriate analyses approaches

– preparing relevant actuarial data and designing and developing automation scripts when needed

Integrated Risk Management Department – Life & Health:

– developing and implementing approaches, methods, tools, and processes for the quantitative and qualitative validation of stochastic valuation models (including modeling approach, stability of models, model specification and parameters, data quality, model results, etc.)

– technical supervising and executing of the validation of models for risk and technical provisions calculations

– formulating, aligning validation findings and defining appropriate measures and recommendations with the involved stakeholders

– preparing risk reports and analyses for management and senior leadership

– developing scenarios and stress tests to assess the impact of risks on the company

– collaborating with other departments such as actuarial, investment management, controlling, accounting, and finance to assess and monitor risks

– supporting the implementation of regulatory requirements related to risk management (e.g. Solvency II review)

Our requirements
  • fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • University Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or comparable education
  • professional experience in insurance in one of the following fields: reserving, risk management, actuarial, statistics, IFRS17 or ALM
  • programming skills ideally in R, VBA, SAS, or Prophet
  • you are intrigued to work in an international environment
  • experience in data models and data processing
  • excellent technical and analytical skills, structured way of thinking, logical and concise approach, and high attention to detail
  • understanding business requirements and implementation of those
  • very good communication skills and a strong team spirit
  • ability to work independently
  • proactive approach to work
  • willingness to travel abroad (once/twice per quarter, 2/3 days)

About the Role

We are looking for Actuaries and professionals experienced in the insurance industry to join our team

In your role, depending on your experience, you will work closely with one of the three ERGO Group Departments:

· Central Reserving Life and Health Department

· Central Reserving P&C Department

· Integrated Risk Management Department
