For a company in the veterinary healthcare sector, I am currently looking for candidates ready to take up the position of:

General Accounting Senior Specialist

As a General Accounting Senior Specialist, you will lead general accounting activities, manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, and support the integration of new clinics, while closely collaborating with teams across multiple locations.

Contract of employment | 13.500 - 14.500 PLN gross monthly

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Leading daily accounting operations and posting ongoing business transactions

  • Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closings

  • Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of account reconciliations

  • Cooperating closely with the Controlling team when preparing periodic financial reports

  • Implementing and maintaining Group Accounting standards and procedures

  • Monitoring local GAAP changes

  • Building strong working relationships with local operational teams (clinic Heads) and providing first-line support in accounting-related matters

  • Acting as the primary contact for authorities, internal, and external auditors

  • Supporting financial transformation projects and Finance team development

Requirements

  • Proven experience in full-cycle accounting — this is essential

  • Experience in month-end and year-end closing processes within distributed data structures

  • Strong experience in account reconciliations

  • English at a minimum B2/C1 level

  • German is not required, but nice to have at B1+

  • Polish language skills

  • Experience with Oracle will be an advantage

  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel

  • Empathy, teamwork, and strong communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with skills to prioritize effectively
