Python Developer – Generative AI Focus (Romania-Based, Remote)

StrategicsIQ is seeking a skilled Python Developer with experience in Generative AI to join an exciting, long-term remote project. This role is open exclusively to candidates based in Romania, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere while contributing to global-scale AI transformation initiatives.

About the Role

As a Python Developer (GenAI) at StrategicsIQ, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating AI-powered solutions that leverage the latest advancements in machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and data automation.

You will collaborate with a talented international team of data scientists, AI engineers, and software developers to build intelligent, scalable systems that deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy Python-based applications integrating Generative AI and machine learning models

  • Build and maintain APIs and microservices that support AI-driven platforms

  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate LLMs, prompt-engineering logic, and data pipelines into production systems

  • Optimize model performance, scalability, and deployment efficiency

  • Contribute to architecture discussions and technology roadmaps for AI-enabled applications

  • Maintain high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Python software development

  • Proven hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, etc.), or machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, data processing, and cloud-based services (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

  • Solid grasp of software engineering principles, version control (Git), and agile methodologies

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Must be based in Romania (remote working within Romania)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Chroma, FAISS)

  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and fine-tuning language models

  • Exposure to data pipelines, MLOps, or AI integration frameworks
