Job Description

We are seeking an EMEA Controller to lead our regional Accounting team based in Krakow, Poland, playing a crucial role in supporting Zendesk's global business growth. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, this individual will offer leadership, process expertise, regional knowledge, and promote cohesion across the Accounting organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise core accounting activities in EMEA, overseeing coordination, flux reviews, consolidations, and general accounting.
  • Review annual financial statement preparation by entities' controllers.
  • Manage annual statutory audits, offering pragmatic solutions to challenging audit requests.
  • Identify risk areas and implement mitigation strategies, such as team structure and workflow improvements.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs while maintaining Accounting team stability.
  • Collaborate with finance partners to develop scalable processes for growth.
  • Maintain relationships with third-party service providers.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects like M&A integrations and system implementations.
  • Engage with senior executives on financial matters as required.
Qualifications and Education
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Appropriate educational background and professional certifications.
  • Passionate about mentoring others and driving change.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in building new capabilities with a process-oriented approach.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
