Job Description

We are seeking an EMEA Controller to lead our regional Accounting team based in Krakow, Poland, supporting Zendesk's global business growth. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, this role entails providing leadership, expertise, and collaboration across the Accounting organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee core accounting activities in EMEA, including coordination, flux reviews, consolidations, and general accounting.
  • Review annual financial statement preparation by entities' controllers.
  • Manage annual statutory audits, offering solutions to audit challenges.
  • Identify risk areas and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Adapt to changing business needs while maintaining team stability.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop scalable processes.
  • Maintain relationships with service providers.
  • Work on special projects like M&A integrations and system implementations.
  • Interact with senior executives on financial matters.

Qualifications and Education:

  • 10+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Relevant educational background and certifications.
  • Passionate about mentoring.
  • Skilled in driving change and managing uncertainties.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Build new capabilities with a focus on processes.
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
