Client Details
Our client is a leader in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to developing and managing clean energy projects. They focus on harnessing the power of wind and solar energy to create sustainable solutions.
Currently, they are centralizing their Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Banking areas, dividing responsibilities between their Polish and Portuguese centers. Recently, they have implemented the SAP S4/HANA accounting system to enhance their financial operations. Additionally, they are actively working on numerous process improvement projects in collaboration with Business Process Owner from Portugal.
The Accounts Payable team will consist of around ten employees, all reporting directly to the Team Leader. While focusing on Polish accounting operations, they also support Spain, Hungary, and Romania. By the end of the year, they plan to start centralizing their UK and Ireland operations as well. Their office is located in Warsaw (Służewiec, Wyścigi).
Description
- Verify and process incoming PO and Non-PO invoices and credit notes following Polish tax and accounting rules
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Generate ad-hoc and month-end closing reports
- Assist in the annual financial audit
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Collaborate daily with accounting team members and other departments
- Update internal processes and manuals
- Identify and suggest potential process improvements
- Support team members in their daily tasks
- Perform various tasks related to the Accounts Payable process
Profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Around 2 years working in an Accounts Payable department
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent command of English.
- Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel
- Proven experience in independently researching reconciliation issues and developing effective solutions
- Extensive experience working in a fast-paced, automated accounting environment
- Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP software
