What the Role Entails
- Develop and enhance the SRE practice at Zendesk.
- Implement reliable practices for troubleshooting and remediation.
- Collaborate with development teams to tackle complex performance and reliability issues.
- Offer support during product incidents and create tooling for better engineering efficiency.
- Enforce Observability standards to drive consistency and innovation.

Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in Software Development/Site Reliability Engineering.
- Proficiency in AWS, software design, and debugging.
- Comfortable working with diverse codebases and programming languages.
- Skilled in building and maintaining distributed systems.
- Experience in Python, Golang, and Observability tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Kubernetes Clusters.
- Familiarity with Ruby and incident management.
Tech Stack
- Zendesk's codebase includes Go, Ruby, and Scala.
- Runs on Kubernetes in AWS.
- Utilizes Datadog and OSS tools for Observability.
- Tool development in Python and Go.
