Tax Expert (WHT, VAT) with German

Obowiązki

• Providing comprehensive tax reports, managing tax-related issues, and supporting monthly and yearly closing activities for VAT and CIT processes.
• Offering expert advice and guidance on complex tax matters to accounting teams.
• Gathering and reviewing data and supporting documents required for the tax compliance process.
• Supporting VAT compliance operations, focusing on the Germany region.
• Conducting analysis and generating reports related to VAT processes.
• Reconciling VAT accounts and ensuring accuracy in documentation.
• Preparing and submitting WHT (Withholding Tax) declarations.
• Participating in projects related to indirect tax initiatives.
• Handling tax settlements, submitting tax declarations/returns, and performing corrections when necessary.
• Overseeing the tax payment process and assisting with tax refunds.
• Ensuring compliance with country-specific tax reporting requirements and legal obligations.
• Monitoring and managing updates to legal tax regulations.
• Assisting with tax audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Maintaining compliance with established tax operational standards and procedures.
• Aligning indirect tax filings with EU Sales Listings, ERP systems, and other business systems.
• Preparing and reviewing tax-related documents, calculations, declarations, letters, and advisory notes.
• Collaborating with legal, finance, IT, and accounting teams during meetings to share information and address business initiatives.
• Reviewing current tax processes, proposing improvements, and implementing enhanced workflows.

Wymagania

• A university degree, preferably in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in tax compliance or tax accounting.
• Work experience in German tax advisory or a multinational company, with knowledge of VAT for German entities.
• Qualification as a tax accountant or chief accountant with several years of experience in tax compliance, tax accounting, or transfer pricing (TP).
• A German tax advisor license (StB) would be an advantage.
• An understanding of the end-to-end process of Tax Operational activities.
• Proficiency in English at a B2 level.
• Proficiency in German at a B2 level.
• Solid knowledge of accounting processes, VAT, WHT, and CIT.
• Experience with SAP and MS Office is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with Finance and non-Finance staff at various levels.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle complex tasks.
• Advanced capability to translate digital technologies into efficient processes.
