About this opportunity
This role is primarily responsible for the timely completion of our EMEA close process for assigned entities and the accuracy of the EMEA financial statements under US GAAP and local GAAP. The position is responsible for assigned general ledger activities, working across accounting functions and international teams. The location of your office will be Wrocław. We can offer a hybrid work model (2 HO days). In this role, you will… Responsible for all accounting activities of assigned EMEA entities; Responsible for monthly Transfer Price and Tax provision calculation, and related journal entries; Responsible for statutory filings of assigned EMEA entities; Prepare/approve journal entries; Coordinate month/quarter/year-end-close process with FP&A, Payroll, US Corporate, US Tax, Shared Service Center Costa Rica, other internal business partners and external Consultants; Prepare monthly fluctuation analysis on BS accounts; Prepare/approve/review reconciliations in Blackline; Coordinate and monitor Fixed Asset Counts in collaboration with Team members; Coordinate tax filings of assigned EMEA entities; Collaborate and coordinate with different internal business partners (VAT, Payroll, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Accounting); Coordinate internal and external audits; Support mark-up reviews. In this role, you’ll need … Education and/or experience: University Master degree in accounting/finance required or equivalent experience; 6+ years of relevant experience with increasing level of responsibility; CPA (or equivalent) is considered a plus. Additional requirements: Proficiency in general accounting under US GAAP and SOX requirements; Knowledge of Swiss accounting and tax standards will be considered as a plus Ability to partner with cross-functional groups to drive and influence business solutions; Problem solving, system oriented and strong analytical skills; Demonstrate initiative; Excellent written, oral and communication skills in English to work with management and cross-functional groups; Detailed-oriented with effective organizational and time management skills; Knowledge and experience in accounting operations with strong attention to detail; Expertise with SAP and Blackline is a plus-
