Short Intro and About the Job
As a Senior Tax Specialist you will be working closely with the Senior Tax Manager and other DBS teams. You will be responsible mainly for the calculation of taxes including CIT, WHT, RET etc. Your role would be to ensure compliance of local tax reporting with group policies, applicable regulations, and laws, as well as engagement in tax advisory projects on direct and indirect taxes & solution implementation.
Also, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations (incl. current and deferred corporation tax, WHT, RET, sugar tax, advise on VAT, Supporting in group tax reporting processes, Preparing or support preparing tax declarations (incl. CIT, RET), Preparing and submitting with statistical authorities Intrastat declarations, Supporting in transfer pricing reporting&obligations, Working with other financial teams (GL, AP, AR departments) to ensure that errors are properly corrected, and that remedial action has been taken, Working closely with businesses to advise and engage in tax-business-related matters (including R&D & robotization tax reliefs, special economic zone/Polish Investment Zone, etc), Coordinating the daily contact with tax authorities within cross-check controls and assist with tax reviews and statutory audit purposes, Initiating ideas to improve the process, Supporting Senior Tax Manager with daily work, research, analysis, group reporting and tax consulting matters, Participation in tax business projects and tax IT projects focused on automatization and digitalization of tax function.
About You
You are a perfect fit for this role, because you have:
A university degree in Law/Economics/Finance/Accounting or equivalent, 2-3 years of working experience in a tax position either gained as an in-house tax specialist, BIG4, or tax consultancy, Good knowledge of Polish taxes, Accounting ERP Systems knowledgewould be a plus (especially SAP), Passion for improvement, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive, Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, Problem-solving mindset with an ability to influence different coworkers, Good communication in English and Polish is a must.
