Qualifications:The Role:
Boeing Poland is looking for an Occupational Health and Safety Officer (OHS), to be based in Gdansk supporting local operations and other work across Poland. This position will compliment the growing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) function across Europe and be part of an international EHS team. The successful candidate will be part of a growing international team, reporting directly to the team manager who is based in the UK. This position offers some hybrid working options.
The purpose of this role is to provide practical support to local management and employees to enable us to achieve a high standard of EHS performance, making sure the company is compliant with local Laws and Regulations along with Boeing policy. This position will report directly to the Boeing Europe, United Kingdom & Ireland (EUKI) EHS Senior Manager, while maintaining an effective operational relationship with local management, interacting frequently in the English and Polish languages.
Responsibilities:
Prepares compliance and technical reports to meet Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements Acts as primary site interface with regulatory agencies Prepares and submits permit applications Performs program reviews, investigates incidents and provides corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of incidents Evaluates workplace hazards Provides input to new business opportunities and facilities projects to ensure compliance Conducts education and training to support regulatory and business requirements Evaluates impact of new regulations on company operations Reviews vendor, contractor and supplier activities for EHS compliance for site processes and program goals The role will cover the Boeing operation in Gdansk along with support for other sites within the country, (currently; Rzeszow & Warsaw) and will require travel to these sites as directedWork Authorisation:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Poland. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in Poland. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
Required Qualifications:
The candidate will have an academic or postgraduate education in health and safety and at least 5 years of experience in the health and safety service Fluent in conversational & written English language Key skills will include influencing people, communication, problem solving, pragmatism and flexibility.
