Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end processes for both Direct and Indirect tax compliance & reporting and/or Statutory Accounts via a mixture of in-house data providers and third party outsourced deliverable providers. The role is a new role established to provide the necessary resources and capability of the Tax & Statutory Reporting team within the Finance CoC.
  • Reporting to the Tax&Stats Manager, the Specialist role will be responsible for the creation / production of timely and accurate financial data enabling the local Finance teams and the Tax Centre of Excellence to focus on delivering increased value to their key stakeholders.
  • The purpose and key activities of the role is to enable company's legal entities with the delivery tax & statutory compliance processes in the area of indirect taxes
  • Responsible for all allocated activities for Tier1 markets
  • Collate, analyse, review and provide timely data to the Tax Managed Service Provider to enable their preparation of the tax compliance filings, transfer pricing documentation and statutory accounts in accordance with the COC's Standard Operationg Procedures
  • Perform key processes and controls in accordance with the Tax Governance Framework and guidance provided by the Tax Centre of Excellence to ensure the provision of complete and accurate data to enable correct tax calculations and eliminate errors

Requirements:

  • University degree (BA or MA)
  • Professional experience in area of indirect taxes (CIT)
  • Finance function experience, supporting a multinational operation from a Shared Service Centre / captive perspective
  • Previous experience / knowledge in any of the following areas (alternative): Accounting, Tax returns preparation, Month End Process and Trial Balance Production
  • Very good understanding of data flows and accounting principles allowing for effective preparation of tax computations and statutory accounts
