Over het Europacollege in Brugge:
De Brugse campus van het Europacollege (opgericht in 1949) ontvangt jaarlijks ongeveer 340 studenten van over het hele continent en daarbuiten en biedt een levendige educatieve ruimte onder het motto "samen Europa bestuderen en beleven" in zijn residentiële academische programma's. Het internationale team van de administratie van de campus is gegroepeerd in verschillende kantoren die de werking van de instelling ondersteunen, gesteund op de missie om de best mogelijke omgeving aan te bieden aan alle leden van de College gemeenschap. De HR-dienst levert in dit opzicht cruciale diensten - en levert cruciale bijdragen aan de verdere ontwikkeling van het administratieve beleid en de procedures van de campus.
De rol:
De Co-Director deelt leidinggevende en administratieve verantwoordelijkheden met het huidige hoofd van de HR-dienst en zal :
bijdragen aan en vorm geven aan het gehele HR-proces, van onboarding tot offboarding van personeel; medeverantwoordelijk zijn voor de uitvoering en verdere ontwikkeling van het overkoepelende HR-beleid; bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe, maar ook aan de optimalisatie van bestaande HR-processen; het aanspreekpunt zijn voor internationale medewerkers en ondersteuning bieden bij zowel HR-gerelateerde/contractuele als praktische zaken; ontwikkelingen volgen met betrekking tot de toepasselijke sociale en arbeidswetgeving; HR-trends, best practices en ontwikkelingen een stap voor zijn en deze kennis proactief delen binnen het team en de organisatie; deel uitmaken van brainstormsessies met het HR-team om voorstellen te ontwikkelen en deze projecten vervolgens uit te voeren binnen de organisatie; medeverantwoordelijkheid nemen voor het jaarlijkse budget van de HR Office.Concrete verantwoordelijkheden worden in overleg met de reeds zittende Director verdeeld.
Jouw profiel:
Je hebt een Bachelor- of Masterdiploma in HR of een gerelateerd domein en minimum 5 jaar werkervaring in een HR-rol; Je bent een echte HR-generalist, die thuis is in de Belgische sociale en arbeidswetgeving; Je bent hands-on, leergierig met een gezonde zin voor initiatief, stressbestendig en goed georganiseerd; Je bent open-minded en beschikt over sterke interpersoonlijke vaardigheden in de omgang met collega’s; Je kan zowel zelfstandig als in team werken; Je werkethiek omvat flexibiliteit, betrouwbaarheid en discretie in het omgaan met confidentiële informatie; Je hebt uitstekende communicatievaardigheden; Je hebt een zeer goede kennis van het Nederlands en Engels (zowel mondeling als schriftelijk), kennis van het Frans is een troef; Je kan vlot overweg met Word, Excel, Outlook alsook HR-gerelateerde programma’s (tijdsregistratie, payroll administratie,…).Het College biedt:

Hosting annually approx. 340 students from all over the continent and beyond, the Bruges campus of the College of Europe (established in 1949) offers a vibrant educational space under the motto of “studying and living Europe together” in its residential academic programmes. Centred around the mission of providing the best possible environment for all members of the College community, the international team of the campus’ administration is grouped into several Offices that support the operations of the institution. The HR Office provides key services in this respect – and makes crucial contributions to the further development of the campus’ administrative policies and procedures.
The role:
Sharing managerial and administrative responsibilities with the current head of the HR Office, the Co-Director will
contribute to and shape the entire HR process, from onboarding to offboarding of staff; be jointly responsible for the implementation and further development of the overarching HR policy; contribute to the development of new, but also the optimisation of existing HR processes; be the contact point for international staff and provide support on both HR-related/contractual and practical matters; follow developments as regards the applicable social and labour legislation; be one step ahead of HR trends, best practices and developments, and proactively share this knowledge within the team and the organisation; be part of brainstorming sessions with the HR team to develop proposals and then implement these projects within the organisation; take joint responsibility for the annual budget of the HR Office.Concrete responsibilities will be divided in mutual agreement with the Director already in place.
Your profile:
You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in HR or a related field and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in a HR function; You are a true HR generalist, familiar with Belgian social and labour legislation; You are hands-on, eager to learn with a healthy sense of initiative, stress-resilient and well organised; You are open-minded and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in dealing with colleagues; You can work both independently and in a team; Your work ethic includes flexibility, reliability and discretion in handling confidential information; You have excellent communication skills; You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and English (both oral and written), knowledge of French is an advantage; You work well with Word, Excel, Outlook as well as HR-related programmes (time registration, payroll administration, etc.).The College offers:
