Management Level
The Product Owner works closely with the Product Manager and Platform Engineering teams to define and prioritise requirements, oversee product/ platform build progress and ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of the product/platform vision and goals. The role is a part of squad teams and can be aligned to any product or platform of the RS / SS / Common Services.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Define the product features and conduct requirements analysis/design, as well as needs assessment
2. Contribute to defining product vision, goals, success measures and roadmap for the team
3. Accountable for the prioritisation of user stories and delivering product change. Ensure alignment to the roadmap and strategic objectives set by the Product Line
4. Leverage working knowledge of business systems, broader industry requirements, and practical implications of enhancements to support product priorities and integration with overall architecture platforms
5. Undertake comprehensive analysis and detailed user requirements for features by exploring potential solutions, improvements to end-to-end customer experiences, and impacts on business process
6. Use both qualitative and quantitative research to assess the value of products and features in line with proposition priorities.
7. Document requirements / user stories; gather input from a variety of internal stakeholders and external resources/stakeholders
8. Assimilate complex detailed problems and translate them into easily digestible content or stories for cross-functional team members
9. Update stakeholders and teams on the performance of products and use data to inform product recommendations and decisions
10. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to drive the vision for specific product areas
11. Understand what KPIs are most valuable to the business and deliver measurable impact on them
Education
Any graduation preferably Engineering
Relevant Experience
Significant Product Ownership experience in a software/product development
Proven experience of interfacing with cross-functional teams to drive product delivery
