WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As a Director Data Science, you will be responsible for the quality of the algorithms used by the company's analytical & media planning tools and any analysis performed ad-hoc (for the tools but also for research purposes) by the team you will be leading. You will actively participate in the prioritisation of the development of these algorithms.
You will partner closely with the product management, strategy and engineering practices to help develop and improve the product offerings of Choreograph.
You will be a part of a vibrant group, collaborating with specialist and business teams, demonstrating your technical knowledge and growing your soft/interpersonal skills
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead and manage a team of senior dataprofessionals Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance experimentation, analysis, and data storytelling capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, design experiments, and develop strategies to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets. Own and be responsible for individual and team projects’delivery, evaluating the most optimal course to achieve project goals and desired results/insight Work closely with business (Product Team and Stakeholders) to understand their requirements and carry out implementations Interpret complex messages, outputs and algorithms and simplify them into actionable insights for key stakeholders, identify business opportunities Mentor and support more junior colleagues, identify upskilling opportunities Monitor compliance, actively review and suggest improvements Present project/team work internally,to wider groups of colleaguesand stakeholders or at conferencesWHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, or data science 6+ years of applied data science / analytics experience 2+ years of team management experience Experience with stakeholder engagement and management Programming proficiency in Python Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches A passion for answering hard questions with data Ability to communicate complex analytics in a clear, precise, and actionable manner An ability to question the results and identify any anomalies and inconsistencies within developed models A flexible analytic approach that allows for results at varying levels of precision Experience in working within international environment Full command of English – C1 levelNICE-TO-HAVE
Knowledge of Jira Experience in using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to deliver technical products and data solutions Understanding of Media Planning, preferably within AdTech Experience working with Large Language Models on the API level Experience of working in large global enterprises in delivering data-driven solutions Experience with agent-based modelling solutions Good knowledge of main ML algorithmsChoreograph™ is WPP’s global data products and technology company fueling growth for the world’s most admired brands.
