In our team you will provide support for projectsfor a European institution, concerning security and border control activities.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and deliver systemcomponents (back-end), based on the analysis of the customer’s functional andnon-functional requirements. Provide input as part of a dedicated scrumteam for the development of features and services. Provide 2nd and 3rd line support regardingbugs, or other development issues. Maintain parts of the entire code baseline(Database, Model, UI, extensions etc.). Write and update technical documentation. Optimise the software from performance,security, and quality point of views (back-end). Administration/configuration and deploymentof the Java EE application servers (mainly JBoss, Apache) and softwarereleases.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for experiencedJava full-stack or back-end developers that are used to work with theaforementioned technologies and have experience in microservices, preferably inOpenShift. The candidates should have: 

Bachelor degree in ComputerScience/Information Technology/Engineering (Master/PhD is a plus) Minimum 6 years of professional hands-onexperience in software development in Object-Oriented programming, specificallyon JAVA EE technologies (EJB, JPA, Web Services, WebSockets, RESTfulinterfaces, etc.). Java Certified Programmer’s Certificate(minimum Java 8) or equivalent. Has actively participated in at least 4projects as back-end developer. Advanced knowledge of JBoss 7 EAPApplication Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Apache Web server, PostgreSQLdatabase and Jackrabbit. Hands-on experience in working with Maven,Git, JUnit, Jenkins, and IntelliJ IDEA Experience working with Docker andKubernetes. Experience working with Azure DevOps. Experience working in Scrum/Agile. Personal Security Clearance at EU-CONFIDENTIAL level or above.

We will also value:

Experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB. Experience with HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript,JQuery, or Angular. Experience in Azure Cloud
