In our team you will provide support for projectsfor a European institution, concerning security and border control activities.
Responsibilities:
Design technical services and plan systemintegration, selecting the necessary platforms and technologies to meet thecustomer functional and non-functional requirements and final user needs. Provide technical leadership andconsultancy to the internal development team, ensuring the systeminfrastructure is fit for purpose, whilst meeting time and budget constraints. Build and maintain the system technicalroadmap, looking ahead for future opportunities or blockers and ensuringdecisions by the development team align with the FRONTEX strategy. Advise product managers on the estimatedeffort and technical implications of the current user stories, as well as thosein the backlog. Enable the reuse of well-known implantationpatterns, tools, and components across the whole government service landscapeand enforce FRONTEX design and development guidelines. Enable a positive technical culture,applying agile methods to development and enforcing adequate quality assurancepractices. Provide 2nd and 3rd line support regardingbugs, or other development issues. Write and update technical documentation. Optimize the software from performance,security, and quality point of views.WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for experienced Java solutions architect that is used to work withthe aforementioned technologies and have experience in microservices,preferably in OpenShift. The candidate should have:
Bachelor degree in ComputerScience/Information Technology/Engineering (computer or telecommunication). Minimum 10 years of professional hands-onexperience in software development in Object-Oriented programming, specificallyon JAVA EE technologies (EJB, JPA, Webservices, WebSockets, RESTful interfaces,etc.). Java EE 6 Enterprise ArchitectCertification or equivalent. Proven track record in designing anddelivering at least 4 complex enterprise-scale Java/JEE solutions. Proficient in UML design with EnterpriseArchitect; capable of translating business requirements into systemrequirements and providing complete architectural solutions and accuratespecifications to the development team. Experience working in Scrum/Agile and inleading a technical team for agile project delivery, including Test-DrivenDevelopment and Continuous Integration. Hands-on experience in working with Maven,Git, JUnit, Jenkins, and IntelliJ IDEA Advanced knowledge of JBoss 7 EAPApplication Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Apache Web server, PostgreSQLdatabases and Jackrabbit. Experience working with microservices(preferable OpenShift), Docker and Kubernetes, and with Azure Cloud and AzureDevOps. Personal Security Clearance at EU-CONFIDENTIAL level or above.We will also value:
Experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB. Experience in Angular or other front-endframeworksWHAT DO WE OFFER?
