About this opportunity

As Accountant Banking you will be responsible for the timely completion of our EMEA close process and the accuracy of the EMEA financial statements under US GAAP and local GAAP. The position is responsible for assigned general ledger activities, working across accounting functions and international teams. The location of your office will be Wrocław. We can offer a hybrid work model (2 HO days). In this role, you will… Reconcile bank accounts & monitor bank balances on a regular basis; Clear payments, Treasury, inter-company balances; Month end closing activities for Bank accounts; Follow up on AP, accounting and treasury related issues; Enter manual bank payments on an occasional basis; Coordinate with Costa Rica, Treasury and Corporate Outsourced Teams; Establish practices which ensure there are no delays in schedules; Support audit request, working with external auditors; Reconcile and clear credit card collections within clearing accounts including preparation of journal entries; Make recommendations for new procedures and efficiency gains and implement these. Tasks: Prepare various journals (TAX/VAT manual payments, refunds, bank charges, credit cards, etc.); Cash clearing; Prepare manual bank payments directly on bank platforms; Prepare bank reconciliations, prepare assigned account reconciliations in Blackline; Maintain Direct Debit list & GL coding list for regular items; Payroll payments check & coordination; Assist in opening & closing bank accounts; In this role, you’ll need … Advance knowledge in general accounting under US GAAP and SOX requirements; Ability to partner with cross-functional groups to drive and influence business solutions; Problem solver, system oriented and strong analytical skills; Excellent written, oral and communication skills in English to work with management and cross-functional groups; Detailed-oriented with effective organizational and time management skills; Knowledge and experience in accounting operations with strong attention to detail; Excellent Excel skills, Expertise with SAP and Blackline a plus. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 4 years of relevant experience (Banking / Treasury); 6 years of experience in accounting; Bachelor level in accounting/finance.
