Data Protection Associate

At Allucent, we are dedicated to helping small-medium biopharmaceutical companies efficiently navigate the complex world of clinical trials to bring life-changing therapies to patients in need across the globe.
We are looking for a Data Protection Associate (DPA) to join our A-team (hybrid*/remote). The Data Protection Associate (DPA) coordinates activities of the Privacy & Data Protection of Allucent. This position controls and monitors privacy and data protection compliance in all countries where Allucent is conducting business. The Data Protection Associate is a member of the Privacy & Data Protection team.
In this role your key tasks will include:
Working under the direction of the Data Protection Officer (DPO), assist in implementing the data protection strategy and implementation; assist, monitor and advise functions and processes to comply with all applicable privacy and data protection laws where Allucent operates, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Assist in completion of and maintaining Records of Processing Activities, tracking country specific requirements, supporting functional and country-based data champions and recertification, review contracts and information for data subjects, advice on safeguards for data transfers Assist with and coordinate data protection impact assessments and data breach investigation and reporting Assist in development and performance of staff training Assist in communication with supervisory authorities and individuals whose data is processed As directed, assist with the data protection services offered to clients, including assisting with Data Protection Representation Actively support to staff learning & development within the company Draft and contribute as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of Privacy & Data Protection activities to the evaluation/improvement of processes and procedures within the Quality Management System Assure good communication and relationships with (future) clients Contribute and take part in client evaluations, meetings and bid defensesRequirements
To be successful you will possess:
Life science, healthcare, legal and/or business degree 5 years of relevant work experience Preferable experience in drug development and/or clinical research Preferable knowledge of GxP Preferable knowledge of privacy and data protection worldwide and related privacy certifications Ability to simplify complex issues into understandable concepts Experienced in legal research and analysis Strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language Representative, outgoing and client focused Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment of a growing company Administrative excellence Proficiency with various computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as requiredBenefits
