BAT POLAND IS LOOKING FOR MATERIAL PLANNER

ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

Responsible to ensure that the raw material requirements of the factories are met with no interruption to supply continuity. To work closely with internal and external stakeholders raising and expediting material orders to mitigate potential issues and avoid any production disruption.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

Key role to ensure production continuity in the factory and avoid any out of stocks of finished goods in the End Markets.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Place materials purchase orders/contracts in-line with supplier lead-times to meet multiple factory production plan requirements in SAP and Rapid Response system. Ensure period of material cover is sufficient, whilst maintaining target inventory levels and optimal supplier price. Maintain target stock levels within the factory. Execute all cost reduction activities initiated by procurement, factory, etc. Expedite delivery of materials with the supplier to the factory and where necessary resolve any logistics issues. Ensure master data accuracy in SAP and Rapid Explore opportunities for improved planning efficiency and placing of materials orders. Communicate proactively any potential material shortages to the Production Planning team to ensure the issue is resolved quickly with minimum impact to the factory. Working with other teams and departments to implement the phasing in and out of new/old materials as part of a controlled process (achieving agreed deadlines with minimum cost). To liaise with suppliers on an ongoing basis to reserve production capacity (by providing material forecasts) to meet future supply requirements for multiple factories Proactively develop the relationship with the supplier to improve service and performance and to optimize the business processes between the two parties. Support Procurement team in supplier invoicing issues Highlight serious supplier issues and work with the management team to resolve issues quickly and with minimal impact to the business.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required

At least 1 year in direct raw material planning experience.

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

Excellent analytical and planning skills. Good English proficiency (100% of the work is in English). High knowledge in Excel. Strong interpersonal & communication skills. To work unsupervised and under pressure. Good organizational and prioritization skills.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required Logistics, Supply chain or equivalent preferred but not essential

BENEFICIAL

Knowledge in SAP desired. Knowledge in Rapid Response.
