Responsibilities

Mission: 

Société Générale Global Solution Center Poland is a new, growing area of the SG Warsaw Branch. Currently we're seeking for a skilled and experienced manager to supervise a team of 8 people in charge of data protection, data quality, software development and regulatory projects.

Within Global Banking and Advisory business Unit (GLBA), GLBA/BMO team aims at supporting the strategy, the development, and the transformation of the activity, while maintaining a solid and secure working framework.

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing the setting-up and management of the local GLBA/BMO team.

The local GLBA/BMO team will oversee the following missions:

Software Development (Rapid Application Development (RAD)): full development life cycle of various applications dedicated to GLBA business users (including functional requirement analysis, development, user support, training, and technical advisory). Data Protection: the performance of the GLBA’s Data Usage Analyst (DUA) role, the overview of (i) data protection topics within GLBA (including the application of GDPR, Schrems II and banking secrecy legislations) and (ii) data retention management (DRM) for GLBA in coordination with group initiatives and the report on data protection. Data Quality: ensuring a high level of data quality on part of GLBA’s data perimeter, coordinating stakeholders (GLBA or GBSU project managers, business data owners, application owners, front officer) to define, implement and follow action plans to improve data quality on his / her perimeter, defining, monitoring and reporting data quality indicators, coordinating data quality projects, if needed in coordination with other Business Units or Service Units of Société Générale, participating in committees, supporting documentation preparation on his/her perimeter, participating in improvements in data quality management processes and tools, both at GLBA and Group level, and analyzing root causes of anomalies and defining plans to correct them, as well as the corrective entities, if any. Regulatory projects : coordination of reputation risk (at client or transaction level) committees with experts teams, performance of regular controls linked to various regulations (Volcker/FBL, Dodd-Frank Act, Anti-Bribery and Corruption) or transversal topics (Booking policy, regulatory awareness test (spot check) completion rate), monitoring of (i) monthly recommendations (from Internal audit/inspection or external regulatory missions) and (ii) cross-border framework (regular review of Cross border constraints and publishing them in the Cross-border tool for the benefit of all GLBA staff worldwide.

A ramp-up and transition phase will have to be organized to take over the tasks to be performed.

The local GLBA/BMO may be further strengthened in the future with potential additional staff in order to handle other topics.

The GLBA/BMO manager will report hierarchically to the head of the CSP SG Warsaw and functionally to GLBA/BMO/DIR (Paris).

Tasks and responsibilities:

Develop and supervise the local GLBA/BMO team Ensure proper tasks assignment and performance: manage all resources, timelines, and deliveries appropriately Define team’s objective Identify the training requirements and define proper training plan Evaluate the performance of each team member Build and sustain strong relationships with GLBA/BMO in Paris

Profile required

Studies & experience:

Management skills with at least 5 years of experience in a financial institution with an ability to manage diverse team Project management skills with at least 5 years experience Understanding of GLBA or wholesale activities

Language skills:

Fluency in English

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

Proficient in Excel Appetite for managing operational matters Senior stakeholder management and sense of responsibility Rigorous and organized: Ability to maintain high standards of quality and deliver projects on time Analytical: Ability to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions Excellent communication skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Problem solver: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues efficiently Adaptability : Ability to review priorities depending on evolution of the context or department Leadership and team spirit : Demonstrate the leadership necessary to make the organization's mission a success, capacity to make people work together, manage in a complex environment and ability to work in rapidly changing environment
