Position: Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control and Supervision:
- Supervise and manage the inspection of equipment and finished products through third-party services or dedicated personnel.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of incoming shipments by coordinating inspections and audits.
- Manage inventory accuracy in systems such as Optima or any other ERP system, ensuring all data is up-to-date and correct.
- Receive and document packages/pallets, ensuring proper records are maintained.
- Provide technical oversight for orders to the OTE storage facility.
- Supervise warehouse operations, ensuring optimal storage and utilization of space.
- Monitor and oversee the physical movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure shipments are handled correctly in systems such as Optima, Netsuite or other ERP system.
- Liaise with carriers and transport companies to ensure smooth logistics (shared with Operations Manager).
- Manage physical packing and movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Assign and monitor contracted work with third parties, ensuring proper execution and billing.
- Assist in customs clearance processes for export and import shipments outside the EU.
- Record and update sales documentation (shared with Operations Manager).
- Generate various reports in Excel, such as open orders and current stock levels.
- Prepare reports for quarterly and annual reviews.
- Coordinate the preparation of equipment kits for trade shows and events.
- Lead the development and implementation of a remote third-party logistics (3PL) partner to enhance operational efficiency.
- Integrate the platform with existing systems to streamline inventory, shipment, and supplier management.
- Coordinate with 3PL providers to ensure seamless data flow and collaboration.
- Monitor and optimize platform performance to meet business objectives.
- Perform cycle count audits on a quarterly basis to check performance of stock rotation
The ideal Candidate profile:
- Min. 4 years of experience as Supply Chain Manager in Production / Distribution Company or 3PL (EMEA level)
- International Business / Logistics / Supply Chain / Transport professional and educational background
- Experience working with carriers and haulers familiar with European and UK routes,
- Transport Management - LTL, courier and air shipment
- Ability to managing relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and Customs Agencies.
- Expertise in handling Import/Export declarations (e.g., ENS, EXS, EORI registration).
- Familiarity with duties, tariffs, and tax implications such as VAT deferment schemes and UK-specific rules.
- Understanding ADR (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) regulations
- Good knowledge CMR regulations
- Proficiency in English and other European languages (optional but advantageous) for effective communication with partners across the continent.
