In the EMEA payroll team, we are responsible for the salaries of our colleagues from 40 countries in EMEA. We serve approximately 6,000 employees in, among others, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Israel, Poland, Sweden, South Africa, Turkey, the UK and the Middle East countries. The primary mission of our department is to ensure that all employees of the EMEA Rockwell region receive correct and timely remuneration in accordance with applicable legal regulations and company policy.

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Expert .

As a Senior Payroll Expert you will be responsible to provide services in scope of outsourced payroll process to employees. These include, but are not limited to, timely and accurate payroll data collection, consolidation and delivery to an external payroll vendor, payroll processing and control, responses to queries from employees, managers and corporate units on the field of payroll with usage English or/ and other language. This position will be a primary contact at operational level with payroll vendors and internal clients. You will take part in payroll related projects as and when required and will be responsible for completion of ad hoc tasks related to payroll process or payroll projects. You will have an opportunity to coordinate with the Payroll Manager, identify key areas and/or processes that need process improvement, documentation, backup, and/or additional support.

Responsibilities:

Timely collect, maintain and consolidate payroll data, ensure it is complete

Deliver payroll data to an external payroll vendor

Control payroll output received from an external payroll vendor

Performing and controlling payroll services to ensure timely, accurate and compliant processes

Preparing and verification of documentation/declarations and reports required by various authorities and institutions

Respond to internal clients’ inquiries concerning payroll

Manage databases, work time, ensure data integrity between the systems including GPMS, WorkDay, SAP, ADP

Verifying and controlling payroll data and calculations correctness; applying changes if necessary

Cooperate with external payroll vendor at operational level to timely and accurately deliver payroll to employees

Daily cooperation with HR and Finance Departments

Effectively solve the issues related to outsourced payroll services delivered by an external payroll provide

Monitor deadlines defined by work regulations and labor la

Maintaining payroll processes to ensure alignment with legislation

Build strong working relationships with teammates, cross-functional departments, and management

Foster a positive and collaborative environment within the payroll team and with cross functional department peers

Take part in payroll related projects

Role model for others

Have wide overview of processes for whole region

Being a support for less experienced colleagues in the Team; supervising and controlling their work, knowledge sharing, etc.

Supporting Team Lead / Manager in their day-to day tasks

As a Payroll Expert in addition focus on :

In coordination with the Payroll Manager, identify key areas and/or processes that need process improvement, documentation, backup, and/or additional support

Become the subject matter expert by learning new processes, making improvements, creating documentation, training payroll staff, and serving as their backup

Own and manage recurring payroll processes, reporting, and audits of moderate to high complexity, risk, and/or scope

Become an expert in our payroll and HR data; validate requirements, design, develop, and run reports; combine, add, manipulate, and validate report data according to need

Assist with or lead the research and resolution of complex payroll and compliance related audits, issues and questions. Document processes, procedures, and train payroll staff

Reviewing processes regularly to ensure they are up-to-date

Identifying and implementing change in payroll process for continuous improvements

Identifying and reporting issues to management when necessary, to avoid delays in processin

Required qualifications:

: master’s degree in finance or related field.

: Previous payroll experience, with shared services experience as a bonus.

: Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

: Advanced level of English (B1/B2) and another European language (Czech, German, Danish, Dutch, French ).

Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail

: Ability to excel under pressure and work harmoniously in a team
