Team Leader of Operational Risk Testing– Controls Management

We are looking for an experienced banking professional with the passion to build, shape, influence and deliver on a robust testing framework within Operational and Data Risks areas in Danske Bank.
Operational and Data Risks Testing is a newly established team in our Warsaw office. Your involvement will be instrumental in cultivating an atmosphere conductive to robust risk awareness, and helping us define our current and future role towards the business.
The Business Controls and Product Management (BCPM) department plays a central part in supporting the Business in achieving its strategic goals with reporting lines to the heads of the three business units: Large Corporates & Institutions, Business Customers and Personal Customers.
Controls Management is an independent 1st Line of Defence (LoD) control testing unit within BCPM, separate from the control ownership and operation in the business units, with the aim to ensure that controls are designed and operated effectively.
Key responsibilities
As the Team Leader of Opertional Risk Testing, you will implement and coordinate 1st LoD controls testing of key controls related to Operational and Data Risks across the 3 Business units in Danske Bank.
Supporting the Leader of the Operational and Data Risks Testing in BCPM, you will drive a team of approximately 12 employees that focuses on developing, executing and managing testing for Operational risk across all Business Units.
In your daily work you will be taking care of the following:
Developing and implementing comprehensive control testing Operational and Data Risks including test scripts for key controls, test frequency, etc. Analysing and interpreting testing results to highlight strengths and areas for improvement for Operational and Data Risks across Business areas. Identifying opportunities for test automation for key controls, working in partnership with the teams across Controls management. Supporting escalation of test results and monitoring for Senior management and Governing Risk Committees. Identifying opportunities for test automation and collaborating with Data Analysis & Automation team for a more effective and efficient controls testing process. Collaborating with Reporting & Insights team for developing and maintaining strong reporting & MI for testing results across Business areas. Manage stakeholders and Group’s expectations in terms of testing and team deliveries. Support and train team members in line with 1st LoD control management framework.Your profile

We imagine that some of the characteristics to describe you would be;
Minimum 5 years of experience related to non-financial risk with a particular emphasis on Operational Risk. Good knowledge and understanding of financial products, processes and risk management principles related to specific business needs. Documented leadership experience and a passion for leading with purpose. Relevant university degree or similar educational background. Fluency in English, in both speaking and writing.What do we offer?
