As Training Manager (Development Partner) you will be responsible for developing training curriculum/materials, selecting appropriate delivery mechanisms, delivering training, and monitoring training effectiveness for the general workforce and for targeted areas:

In this role, a typical day will include :

Assessing AGS hub training and development needs related to functional (including specific system trainings and requirements) and soft skills. Working with functions in AGS center, locally in developing functional training roadmaps and conducting training needs analysis Collaborating with other Training Managers in AGS centers to drive global alignment in Training needs analysis (method used, required soft skill trainings in AGS centers, etc.) Contributing to the creation of an AGS Global Training Calendar by providing AGS center specific requirements, plans Managing Training calendar - Undertake Training needs analysis for functional & technical skill upgradation in AGS Hub. Prepare annual training calendar in line with the AGS Learning & Development Pyramid, manage nominations & train employees for select sessions. Conducting various employee development trainings (as per Global, Regional HR programs / guidelines) Handling end-to-end training logistics - budgets, nominations, programs, feedback. Liaison with service providers for external trainings programs – where applicable align globally on providers and drive economy of scale on service contracts Oversee academia-linked programs: Certification programs/MDPs/PGPX. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition in Campus engagement/Internships. Participating actively/Drive projects in Global AGS forums for developing a Training framework across AGS centers with all that implies Contributing to the development of a cross center Alcon Experience Dashboard and Tracking Alcon Experience Dashboard results, coordinate action planning and update management on the progress for the Hub Planning and organizing events that ensure: Work life integration: Team bonding events/Daily stress-busters/Fun Fridays/Talent Days/Common Interest groups/Celebrations/Others Continuous improvement: Organize initiatives to gather Employee Voice to improve company processes/Think Tanks Celebrating success: Coordination of Quarterly Reward and Recognition programs/Increase usage of Alcon’s R&R portal/ Success stories/Extra Miles/Life event celebrations (birthdays, long service) Culture development- Ideation & execution of creative ways of engagement for millennial audience in AGS to drive better employees satisfaction in close partnership with HRBP, Functional managers etc.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON :

University Degree in Human Science, Education or similar; Previous experience in relevant position (trainings management, development, onboarding, employee engagement activities) Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills in English is a must; Proven experience, and knowledge of effective learning methods; Ability to build relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders in the organization. Strong communication skills Previous experience in conducting trainings Detail-oriented with the ability to have several tasks open at same time – very good organizational skills Up-to-date with current trends in L&D area, organizational culture and employee engagement
