Job Description

QAD is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to be part of our QA team. The person will be responsible for testing products and applications while maintaining high quality standards for the company's products. If you would like to interact with people from different countries, be part of a great team which empowers and challenges each other to learn and solve complex problems, this is the job for you. 

This role may be fully remote, based in Poland.

 

What You will do:

  • Debugging software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company’s products

  • Developing, modifying, and executing software test plans

  • Analyzing and writing test standards and procedures

  • Maintaining documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software

  • Analyzing test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action

  • Providing feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software

  • Ensuring quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing

  • Estimating the Level of Effort needed to test and complete a task

  • Creating and Updating existing QA documentation

  • Working closely with Development and Product Owners to ensure project success


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in other related field

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in the international team in a similar position

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, proactive and able to learn fast

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Highly self-motivated and directed   

  • Basic Computing Logic (programming), preferably Python

  • Advanced Technical English skills 

  • Knowledge of Automation tools such as Selenium would be of advantage

  • Knowledge of Troubleshooting, Diagnosing Issues at a high level would be of advantage

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Crucible, SVN is nice to have

  • Experience with Agile Methodology (SCRUM) is nice to have

  • Knowledge of ERP is nice to have
