RIM Technician 2

The Records and Information Tech 2 is responsible for efficiently managing Westinghouse business records, thereby enhancing the quality and accessibility of information available to the project participants and to functional departments in a coordinated, comprehensive and cost-effective manner.

Your Day to Day:

Input, review and/or verify all information entered in the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) to ensure completeness and correctness. Identify necessary actions to correct any incorrect data before archiving via EDMS. As needed, verify entries already submitted are correct and complete and take necessary action to correct any incorrect data already archived. Locate and retrieve information from various sources and provide information to requestor in correct format. Convert electronic document formats into the appropriate Westinghouse format to enable permanent long-term storage and retrieval per procedure. Proactively identify problems, discrepancies and process improvement opportunities as needed.

Who you are:

High School degree or equivalent. Basic knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and tool utilities. Ability to perform data entry into EDMS. Basic understanding of record attributes. Basic knowledge of revision/version control. Basic knowledge of document types. Basic understanding of web-based technologies. Basic knowledge of query/search functions. Basic knowledge of records management security policies. Basic understanding of critical thinking skills to perform RIM activities. Basic knowledge of Microsoft office suite Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
