Strategic Operations Buyer – Logistics (f/m/x)

in Mars Global Service

Commercial Department

Location: Poznań/ Warsaw

Hybrid working

* Fully virtual recruitment experience *

What will be your key responsibilities?

Purchase Transport services by securing price, capacity & service levels in line with commitments to the business and as per the sourcing strategies by applying a wide range of sourcing tools (. negotiation, e-procurement, strategic collaboration, .

Manage day-to-day commercial (procurement) operations for Logistics Buying and resolve potential issues.

Assess and develop suppliers to meet business needs and opportunities, be the point of contact for existing and potential new suppliers. 

Analyze the supplier bids using Excel, Power BI and E-sourcing tools.

Project management the yearly cross border transport tender.

Interact with Mars Commercial Services (MCS), Sourcing Excellence Team, eSourcing team to efficiently run the end-to-end procurement process and optimize ways of working.

What are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree, (preferable Supply Chain/Industrial Engineering/Procurement/Economics)

3 + years of professional experience in supply chain or procurement.

Ability to analyze data and assess information quickly, expert in Excel.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Fluent English and Polish language are a must (other languages like German/French are nice to have).
