As part of the structures, we are looking for specialists in the field of international accounting & tax, human resources and payroll, and global entity management. We also build teams that will be responsible for handling international funds and supporting internal financial processes of the TMF Group.

At this role you will have possibility to work remotely or hybrid from the office in Katowice.

Job purpose

Are you looking for a new opportunity in the field of VAT (within an international context)? Are you a team player, an Excel lover and you want to develop yourself through experience and training? TMF Group has an opportunity for you (on Luxembourg market – job based in Katowice - PL) 

The Tax Compliance Officer is responsible to prepare VAT returns according to due deadlines, European Sales Lists, (de)register entities for VAT for own diversified client portfolio with a close cooperation with senior VAT officers/VAT manager. From time to time, you will have direct communication with clients and VAT authorities.

Key responsibilities

Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, annual VAT returns;

Participate to the VAT registration and deregistration processes (corporates);

Prepare answers in relation to VAT audits/tax authorities inquiries;

On an irregular basis, liaise with the tax authorities, external advisors and clients;

Discuss VAT issues and/or technical matters with Senior Tax Compliance Officers;

Work closely and effectively with accounting teams;

Execute all the necessary actions to have TMF Group and clients perform according to Compliance and VAT regulations;

Take ownership of own development by following required and relevant trainings.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or tax;

Good IT skills and excellent command of MS Office (Excel) are necessary;

Good organizational skills and team spirit;

Excellent English written and good verbal communication is required. Knowledge of German or French would be an advantage;

Minimum 2-3 years’ working experience in accounting or/and (European) VAT compliance, preferably in an accounting or tax advisory firm with international environment.
