Role Description:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) to join our team in Kraków or Vilnus (Lithuania).  In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our PostgreSQL databases to ensure their performance, availability, and security. Your daily duties will include monitoring database performance, performing regular backups, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing queries. You will also work closely with our development team to design and implement database solutions that meet the needs of our applications. If you have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Obowiązki

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with PostgreSQL
  • Develop with scripting/automation languages (Ansible, Shell etc.)
  • Experience other RDBMS Technologies (MariaDB, MySQL, Percona is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization
  • Experience with database backup and recovery procedures
  • Familiarity with database security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferre
