Job Overview

A leading global fund administrator, HedgeServ optimizes clients' experience with proprietary technology, robotic process automation, and machine learning-powered digital programs. With 1,500+ professionals worldwide, HedgeServ delivers customizable solutions for risk, portfolio management, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review cash, position, and market value reconciliations
  2. Resolve break items on reconciliations in a timely manner
  3. Review corporate actions
  4. Review income and expense accruals, including fee calculations and trading accruals
  5. Review compliance with defined checklists, procedures, and controls
  6. Liaise with internal services departments to resolve miscellaneous fund issues
  7. Escalate issues and aged items to Portfolio Accounting Manager
  8. Assist team development by providing guidance, training, and mentoring to Portfolio Accountants, setting their goals and monitoring performance
  9. Ensure pre-agreed internal and external deadlines are met consistently
Requirements:
  1. 3+ years of experience working in a hedge fund administration firm is required.
  2. Accounting, Finance, Legal or Business Degree.
  3. Intention to pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA) would be an advantage but is not required.
  4. IT Literate.
  5. Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Attention to detail and well organized.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  9. Flexibility to work effectively within a team structure and independently.
  10. Strong inter-personal skills.
  11. Good initiative tempered with identifying when escalation is required.
  12. Systems, product, and process knowledge.
  13. Leadership skills.
  14. Take ownership of designated tasks.
  15. Act as a role model for HedgeServ.
