At MAN Energy Solutions Poland we are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer. You will assist our marine customers by attending the vessels and are expected to be the specialist, hence a thorough product knowledge is needed to guide our customers.

We can offer you the following tasks

  1. Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical and electronic failures of four-stroke engines.
  2. To be up-to-date with and to implement internal technical modifications and information.
  3. Ability to handle various service projects.
  4. Create full English service report about executed works with final conclusion and recommendations.
  5. Execution of mechanical works in the workshop, on board or at customer sites on marine and stationary engines.
  6. Planning, organization, preparation and coordination of such site works with MAN Energy Solutions internal as well as customer staff and contractors.
  7. Perform reporting and documentation for the work carried out.
  8. First response to our customers in Poland and European Region for any emergency on MAN Energy Solutions.

You can help us with these qualifications

  1. Technical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience as a Service Engineer.
  2. Knowledge of medium-speed four-stroke engines and a minimum of 10 years' experience in inspections and repairs.
  3. Experience in reading technical documents, instructions, sketches/explanation of details and cross-sectional drawings.
  4. Good reporting skills and reporting any findings in the field in writing.
  5. Troubleshooting attitude.
  6. Ability to work in a team and independently.
  7. Ability to travel and work abroad.
  8. Advanced knowledge of English (speaking and writing).

Your office will be located in Gdansk, Poland.

As a Field Service Engineer you will work in our workshop, on site in ports and shipyards located in Europe and power plants in Germany.

Although MAN Energy Solutions Poland currently has around 50 people, the service team of PrimeServ Poland is a relatively small group, which we are now looking to expand by a further five members. Establishing a mechanical workshop is a challenge that we will not succeed without the power of new people. We like to work in a friendly collaborative atmosphere, which we want to continue even though there are big organizational changes ahead of us.

After being active in the Polish market for more than 30 years, MAN Energy Solutions, as a worldwide experienced expert in marine engines and stationary power plants, founded MAN Energy Solutions Poland sp. z o.o. in 2010, with its own independent capital and as its own authorized company in Poland. Additionally, from 2025 we are opening a new workshop in Gdansk to increase our potential in medium-speed engines and turbochargers.
